Valley Animal Haven

A Non-Profit / no-kill animal shelter

Valley Animal Haven is the forty year old "Dream Come True" of our founder, Pam Brasil

Pam had a dream of one day having a shelter that would operate solely for the purpose of saving the lives of helpless and homeless animals.  This dream was born when she saw a program about an animal shelter, in the Midwest, that had been destroyed by an arsonist who hated dogs.  Pam's heart broke at such human cruelty.  There were 80 beautiful dogs destroyed in that fire.  She purposed that someday she would be able to provide a safe HAVEN for dogs and cats.  That dream has become a reality with the opening of VALLEY ANIMAL HAVEN.

We work closely with other local rescue groups and shelters throughout the San Joaquin Valley to help re-home as many animals as possible.  There are tens of thousands of beautiful animals waiting for help.

Please join us in our mission to provide these animals with the help that they so desperately need and deserve.  Our hope is that, one day, no animal will have to suffer at the hands of abusive owners.

Board Meetings (open to the public)

Valley Animal Haven Board Meetings are held on the 1st Thursday of each month, at 6:30pm, in our shelter office.  990 E. D St.  Lemoore, CA  93245

Our current shelter facility is located on two and a half acres in Lemoore, CA.  We are currently utilizing approximately 1.5 acres of the property for kennels and buildings.  The remaining portion of the property is used for an agility training course, partial walking trails, and large equipment storage.

We began 2016 with 15 kennels and now, due to the generosity of our shelter supporters and a grant from Maddies Fund, we currently have 23 kennels on site that adequately house 70-80dogs.  In addition, we have three cat hutches that currently house approximately 45 cats/kittens.

We are currently renovating two portable classrooms that were donated to our shelter.  These buildings will become our permanent cat building and our permanent infirmary.  Once completed, the expanded cattery will allow us to adequately house 60-65 cats and our infirmary will allow us to provide housing for whelping/nursing animals and provide a more sterile environment for our animals that are under medical care.

We are very excited about our upcoming expansions and, with the help of shelter supporters and our community, we hope to become the fastest growing animal shelter and adoption facility in our area.
